Mini-Bus Hire Policy
Requirements:
Any person driving the mini-bus
must meet the following requirements:
- Must be 25 years or over.
- Must produce a full driving license and either a current Midas or Council
mini-bus driving permit.
- Anyone with anything other than a category A driving offence will not be
eligible to drive the vehicle.
Procedure:
- Vehicle mileage must be recorded at the beginning and end of each journey
and the vehicle log-sheet completed in full.
- The organisation hiring the vehicle must return the mini-bus in the same
state of cleanliness to which it was prior to hire. Organisations failing
to return the vehicle in the same state of cleanliness must agree to meet
the cost of professional cleaning or valeting.
- The mini-bus must be checked for damage- scratches, bumps etc before and
after using the vehicle. Any damages should be recorded in the vehicle accident
book, which is kept in the glove compartment.
- The organisation hiring the vehicle will be responsible for any scratches,
bumps or other damage, however minor.
- All passengers must wear seat belts at all times.
- If carrying children, a driver and an adult escort must accompany them.
- The mini-bus must at no time be used for the carriage of goods.
- If any equipment is used from the first aid kit, it must be replaced before
returning the vehicle.
- The vehicle is not available to individuals and can only be booked by bona-fide
constituted groups.
- No smoking, eating or drinking on the mini-bus at any time.
